Adam Sandler appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to promote his latest movie, Pixels. During his appearance Adam shared some tips on parenting, as well as revealing how Jimmy really hurt his finger.
Sandler spoke about taking his kids to the pool in New Hampshire and how excited his kids were to show him how they did cartwheels off the diving board. Of course, like all parents, he was cheering and yelling for them immediately following the cartwheel. The only thing is….the kids were still underwater, so when they emerged from the dive, Adam was standing there not cheering. Sandler advised Jimmy to wait a few seconds before cheering for your kids when they jump off the diving board.
Adam and Jimmy then played the game, Lip Switch, where they speak for each other. It was during the Lip Switch that Adam revealed what really happened with Jimmy Fallon and how he injured his finger. Speaking for Jimmy, Adam said,
“I’m Jimmy Fallon, look at me. I injured my hand wacking off. Yeah, it was so much fun. Well that’s what I get for trying it with my left hand. Learned my lesson, back to old righty.”

Also appearing on The Tonight Show was Sandler’s old roommate, Judd Apatow. The two of them roomed together when they were first starting out in Hollywood, before Adam got a job on Saturday Night Live.
