Tom Cruise joined Jimmy Fallon in an epic lip synch battle on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon that ended with the two of them singing the famous ‘You’ve Lost that Loving Feeling,’ the song that Cruise sang to Kelly McGillis’ character in Top Gun, to a very embarrassed audience member.
Following the premiere of his new movie, Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation, Cruise joined Fallon for a lip synch battle where his first song choice was The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face.” Fallon claimed it was unbelievable, and came back with the Rolling Stones song, “Undercover of the Night.” Is there any question as to who won the first round? Singing the Rolling Stones is a definite win all around – especially when you’re Jimmy Fallon acting like Mick Jagger
Teasing Fallon, the house band Roots played the song Tom Cruise is best known for “Old Time Rock And Roll,” the song he performed in his underwear in the movie, Risky Business. Cruise told Fallon, “That wouldn’t be fair, would it?” Rolling up his sleeves and handing his jacket to Fallon, Cruise then lip-synced to the song “Paradise By The Dashboard Light,” by Meatloaf, beginning with the famous ‘stop right there’ line. Cruise performed a one man duet, singing both parts of the song and acting out each part as he sang it.
For the final song of the evening, Fallon sang The Righteous Brothers’ “You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling,” the song that Cruise sang to Kelly McGillis’ character in Top Gun. Cruise joined Fallon mid-song and the two serenaded a very embarrassed woman.
